Foraging
Learn how to safely and sustainably, identify and gather wild food, through the seasons.
Whether it’s the abundant fresh greens of Spring, the edible flowers of Summer or the fascinating fungi of Autumn, there is so much to see and learn at any time of the year. Join me for a foraging walk where you will be introduced to some of the nutritious and medicinal plants and fungi growing all around us. You will be guided through the identification process and empowered to go forward on your foraging journey. With tips on preparation methods, recipes, folklore and more, you will leave with a whole new insight into the world of wild food and the wonder of nature.
Living Wild offers a range of walks and workshops, based in Llangollen and covering a large area of NE Wales. Limited places also available on courses in Bristol and Bath.
“I had a great time and learned heaps from Leah about different mushrooms, wild herbs and berries that can be foraged locally at this time of year - plus we got to munch as we went on things I would never have normally noticed! Would love to come again at a different time of year and see what seasonal bits to look out for in the Spring or Summer.”
